Staff Highlight: Sophie Joyner

Hi #MaudeSquad, welcome back! We hope your having an amazing week. We wanted to continue introducing some of our staff members. To do just that, today we are introducing you to Sophie Joyner!

Sophie is such a bright light at Maude and brings such a positive energy with her to our team! She is one of our newer staff members, but since being hired she has made such a big impact. We are so lucky to have her! Keep reading to learn more about Sophie!

How long have you been working at Maude?: "I have been working at Maude since the beginning of April! I’ve had a couple of other jobs before this one and it really put into perspective to me how much time can pass during a shift when you truly enjoy your job. I am so blessed to work here and I absolutely love all the women I’m surrounded by."

Why do you love working at Maude?: "I love working at Maude because I am constantly learning new things and because I am surrounded by so many genuine, sweet girls. Working for a small business has given me so many new opportunities. I not only have learned how to keep the sales floor looking it’s best, but I have also learned how to engage with customers through social media. I have had so much fun using my personal style and creativity to create Instagram and TikTok content for Maude. Posting on social media has become one of my favorite things at Maude and I love that each of us girls has a chance to showcase our individual styles. I could not have a better staff to be surrounded by. We are constantly encouraging each other and contributing to making Maude a positive environment."

What is your favorite Maude outfit?: "I chose these outfits because they are my favorite new arrivals we got in recently! They are great staple pieces that can be styled so many different ways!"

What are you most excited for this upcoming school year?: "I will be a freshmen in the fall, so I am most excited to meet new people. I will be rushing in a few weeks and I am so thrilled to find my home and meet the girls who will be my lifelong friends. I am already dreaming of all the game days and formals I’ll have this year."

What do you want to after college, what is your dream job?: "After college I plan on becoming a fashion buyer in a bigger city, like Dallas. Once I learn more about the clothing industry, I would love to own my own clothing boutique. It has always been my dream to have my own store, but since I’ve worked Maude, I’ve fell in love with the idea of it even more."

How would you describe your personal style?: "My style inspiration comes from a few different social media influencers. @acquired.style, @keneurich, and @brit_harvy are some of my faves. I would say my personal style is a mixture of trendy, feminine, and classic. I’ve been loving all the coastal grandmother and 90’s fashion trends coming back, but I’ve learned how dressing for your body type and coloring sometimes is more important than following certain trends. I really find my style comes out when I’m looking for items that fit my body type, rather than when I just try to fit the mold of what’s trending."

What’s your favorite thing to do in Fayetteville right now?: "My favorite thing to do in Fayetteville has to be going shopping or going out to eat. My fave places to eat recently have been Mermaids, Bocca, Woodstone, and Cava."

What’s your favorite movie/ tv show and why?: "One of my all time favorite tv shows is How To Get Away With Murder. It’s not as intense as it sounds, but it’s really good if you love a good murder mystery."
